The two gently curved doors are graced by delicately hand-painted floral designs and, along with the top, are bordered with alternating flowers and butterflies, weaved together in an elaborate springtime design. The brass "shuangyu," or "double fish," handles are a symbol of wealth and surplus. Both doors open a full 180 degrees to reveal a shelf for increased, convenient storage space.
