| Beautifully embellish your decor with this stunning black lacquer Oriental console cabinet with jade stonework and handcrafted Mother of Pearl inlay. This gorgeous furnishing features a traditional scene in which the women on the large double doors commune in a courtyard typical of Ming and Qing dynasty nobility. The women are exquisitely rendered in intricately hand-carved and raised jade and Qingtian stonework as is the pink, blossoming tree above them. The white petals which border the front of the cabinet are an intricate floral pattern created from delicately hand-inlaid Mother of Pearl. Each of the side panels is embellished with decorative floral themes handcrafted from raised jade and Qingtian stonework. The vibrant white flower, delicately hand-painted on the top surface, is a "mudanhua" or tree peony, the national flower of China, while additional flora grace the skirt, the inside of the doors and the cabinet's back panel. Multiple applications of lacquer provide the lustrous black base coat. Gleaming, custom brass hinges and handles adorn the doors and a peach key latch keeps the doors secure. Stylized "xi" character handles, representing joy, provide access to the large interior storage space, making this a stunning accent piece and a practical storage cabinet.
