Northern Thai lacquerware is well known to interior designers worldwide, and is acclaimed for some of the globe's finest craftsmanship techniques. Lacquerware is created by applying the black resin of the "Lak" tree onto smoothly carved wood to give it a glossy finish. Measures 13 inches across x 1 inch high.
