classy light fixture
this is the second one of these we bought... the other took incandescent bulbs... we wanted the cfl for longer bulb life... this fixture has a larger base than the incandescent one and therefore it sticks out further from the wall... be aware of that. from our perspective, it gives off plenthy of light in a smallish bathroom where it is the only light source. my husband installed it himself (and he's no electrician). we love the design. definitely strikingly contemporary without being odd. also faucetdirect service has been exemplary on all our purchases, including some returns for products that didn't fit our walls - items large and small, delivered promptly.

Needs universal mounting plate
This fixture is well made and looks great. The mounting plate did not work with my installation (horizontal 2x4 box) and I needed to modify it to mount it. There is no flexibility in the connection of the fixture to the mounting plate, so the holes in the plate needs to be level or the fixture will not be level. I was able to resolve this issue. But, a universal mounting plate would take all applications into account.

I LOVE these lights fixtures!
These light fixtures are lovely (I purchased two brushed nickel). I originally purchased the regular 60 watt T-10 bulbs and was not satisfied with their output, so I researched for a brighter option. I purchased two (3-pack) boxes of Lools T10/T30 LED Frost Bulb 8W 4000K Dimmable Edison Bulbs. THESE ARE FANTASTIC and they do not buzz. Now I need to adjust/tweak/touch-up the remodel after my contractor (ugh).

Contemporary Styling
The sleek, minimal style is just what I was looking for. However, could not find 60 watt T10 bulbs in retail stores. Other 60 watt bulbs might have worked, but the opening on one of the glass globes is much smaller than the other so the bulbs wouldn't fit. Needs better quality control there. Would still recommend if you want affordable contemporary styling and don't need really bright light.

exactly what I hoped for
These lights were installed in a master bathroom on either side of a large mirror. I wanted good lighting and simple but elegant design. They work perfectly, with minor adjustment were easy to install, and look very well. I am an interior architect, so am picky! Installed them with the bulbs one of the reviews recommended. could not be more pleased!

Wonderful modern light
We used these vertically on either side of luxurious Kohler medicine cabinet. Very classic yet modern look and we love the soft, flattering quality of the illumination. Bright enough but without any harshness. Very pleased a year later. We not only got compliments from guests, we got compliments from the people installing other components!

finicky, but we got it to work
this light fixture looks fantastic, but while one of them set up just fine, the other fixture wasn't so. one of the light bulb sockets was misaligned or poorly connected to the electrical and we had to have our bathroom remodel crew "fix" a brand new light we bought. this is a shame. thankfully it's up now and looks great.

Don't buy these as vanity lights
The brightest bulb you can use with this fixture is the 60 watt T10. Using two of those bulbs above a vanity provides very poor lighting. Even the old-style 60 watt incandescent bulbs provide much more light. We installed these in two new bathrooms and now we're going to have to throw them away and buy some real lights.
