This lamp is 39.5" tall, 14" shorter than a standard pharmacy lamp. The short height is not featured in the description. Opening the box was an unpleasant surprise.

Lamp is too short - at 39.5 inches high it is too low for use at a table. Mine is atop a gallon paint can to boost height. Construction, quality excellent - too nice to sit on a paint can.
