Iron Chinchilla combines the talents of Patrick Neuwirth and Michael Holloway. Their original artwork stirs the imagination and the soul with fluidity of motion, vibrant color, texture and form. Each piece is handmade and all the metal is bent cold by hand using only a vise and arm strength. The dimensions and bends of each piece will vary as the artist responds to nature of the iron. Great prides is taken in the look and strength of each piece. During the finishing process each piece of steel develops its own unique pattern of light and dark tones and no two pieces are the same. The piece is finished with a clear epoxy enamel, applied in several coats to preserve the iron and prevent rust. It is then signed, dated and titled.
