Perfect bright light on reading area or task area while using a low wattage bulb. However, metal housing is actually brown enamel rather than a true "burnished bronze" finish. Still a great value.

Nice lamp. We liked the 1st one enough to buy a 2nd one. The one thing I would change about the design is to have the on/off switch on the cord instead of the fixture. It's hard to reach.
