Curled up together, kitty cats appear in precise pairs. They border an intricate tapestry by Efrain Curi. Woven by hand, it features geometric motifs and stylized birds in the central panels. Titled "Gatos enlazados" in Spanish.
About the Artist: Peruvian artisan Efrain Curi first learned the flat weave technique at his uncle's workshop, in what is a family craft. Efrain's first language is Quechua, and he communicates eloquently through his work. He prefers natural fibers such as wool and cotton tinted with natural and artificial dyes. His tool is the handloom and he usually weaves in the company of his family.
