Wind ripples through the rice field, depicted in silkscreen on handcrafted cushion covers. Designed by Thanyarat Sananpanich, they evidence modern Thai elegance while preserving the grace of the past.
About the Artist: Thanyarat Sananpanich is proud of her Thai heritage: 'I love my traditional Thai culture, so I joined a dance group when I was at school. I met a group of silk weavers during a trip. The beautiful patterns and the people's kind manners left a big impression in me. So much so, that I decided to buy all 30 pieces of silk. I have learnt to weave wall hangings as well as replicate the hill tribe's embroidered work. I love developing traditional patterns to embroider on Thai fabrics.'
