Peruvian designer Veronica Ossio creates a mirror that reflects the natural beauty of Andean stones and gems. She crafts the frame by hand, selecting the lustrous beauty of huamanga stone and adding caramel onyx and serpentine for the floral details. The mirror hangs from an aluminum chain.
About the Artist: Veronica Ossio was born on May 15, 1970. "What I like most about this art is the wonderful, natural beauty of Andean stones, which can never be repeated. Therefore, each piece is a unique work of art. I would like my art to transmit an ecological message for humans to live along with nature so we may get closer to our origins. That way, we‘ll remember our biological essence in the midst of modernism and technology. When I exhibit my work, I marvel at nature‘s own work in every stone. I imagine the history of their formation, and how each stone marks the passing of time."
