PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Rhomboids seem to reverberate like echoes in shades of brown and tan. The motifs cover a reversible throw by Isidoro C'cahuantico. Woven of an alpaca wool blend, it is lightweight yet quite warm.
  • About the Artist: Peruvian artisan Isidoro C'cahuantico was forced to migrate in the 1970s when terrorist activities swept his region. 'I found a job as janitor in a textile factory. I was completely fascinated!' he says. 'At night, when everyone had gone, I began to experiment with the looms. The manager caught me and said I should start by learning how to assemble a loom. That was the beginning of a vocation, a great gift that I have now also passed on to my children.'
  • The Isidoro C'cahuantico Artisan Collection is brought to you by Novica in Association with National Geographic. This beautiful piece was handcrafted by Isidoro C'cahuantico in Peru. An artisan story card will be included with your purchase.
  • 50 percent alpaca wool, 50 percent acrylic
  • Hand crafted Artisan quality
