Exhibiting the art of hand blown glass, Javier and Efren present a set of four wine goblets. Rounded shapes enhance the bouquet of red wine, while the voluptuous glasses are designed to help chilled white wine maintain its temperature. Please note that as each piece is individually handmade, slight variations in shape and size are likely, making every item a unique example of blown-glass craftsmanship. Tiny bubbles within the surface exemplify these artisans' singular, rustic technique.
About the Artist: The artistry of Mexican artisans Javier and Efren has been featured in periodicals ranging from Sunset magazine to the Miami Herald. Since the 1990s, they have worked together to preserve Mexico's blown glass artistry. Even though the art of blowing glass originally came to Mexico from Spain, and it is practiced all over the world, Mexico's blown glass artistry is unique. Working as a team, Javier specializes in the design of the pieces, and Efren transforms the designs into a reality.
The Javier and Efren Artisan Collection is brought to you by Novica in Association with National Geographic. This beautiful piece was handcrafted by Javier and Efren in Mexico. An artisan story card will be included with your purchase.
