With hot tropical colors, Seguso Family artisans create the sensation of carnival confetti. Each radiant piece seems suspended in transparent crystal. Crafted by hand with blown glass techniques developed in Murano, Italy, the paperweight is absolutely stunning. The presence of air bubbles accentuates the nature of the traditional hand blown crafting process, making each piece unique.
About the Artist: Present since 1300 in the census books of Murano, Italy, today the prestigious Seguso glass-crafting family has a Brazilian branch. In 1954, Mario Seguso was invited to execute special commemorative pieces for the 400th anniversary of the city of Spo Paulo. Enchanted by Brazil, he decided to settle there and, after years of supervising the production of artisan crystal, he assured its continuity through his sons Michel and Adriano.
The Seguso Family Artisan Collection is brought to you by Novica in Association with National Geographic. This beautiful piece was handcrafted by Seguso Family in Brazil. An artisan story card will be included with your purchase.
