We absolutely love bringing old architectural creations back into the home through adaptive reuse. Here we have taken a terrific example of an old balustrade (from an old home in Memphis) with a worn and weathered Taupe Wood finish, and faithfully recreated it in polyresin…imperfections and all, on a generous stack of clear acrylic. Oversized for effect, this would look terrific with some worn and weathered furniture. Topped with a square hardback drum shade in natural oatmeal linen, with a simple architectural scroll screen-print design in taupe. The look is part heirloom, part flea market and completely captivating.
