How to Incorporate the Modern Farmhouse Look With Lighting

  • Tips to Add Lighting for a Modern Farmhouse Look

Modern farmhouse hit the scene a few years ago and it’s been a crowd favorite! Here’s a few more ways on how you can bring in that modern farmhouse look with different options of lighting.

  • Mixed Metals

  • Rustic Chandeliers

  • Glass & Vintage Bulbs

  • Shop Different Metal Lighting Fixtures for Farmhouse Feel
Using different metals looks modern, yet still has that farmhouse feel. The metals play off each other and make a statement while maintaining that timeless look.
  • Click for Rustic Chandeliers for Farmhouse Style Lighting
These chandeliers look awesome above a table, in the center of the living room, or above a bed. The size makes it a focal point that also ties into the overall style of the room.
  • Click for Pendants with Glass Shades & Vintage Bulbs for Farmhouse Style Lighting
Vintage bulbs add flair to your light fixture and they are a great way to bring in that modern farmhouse look. When combined with glass, the look is classic, yet modern.

Before

This project, which we reference as the Mulberry master bathroom remodel, was a lot of fun. This job was a complete demo. There was a lot of space wasted with a jetted tub, so we were able to take that area and blow it out and make the shower larger and add a seat. There are many things we loved about this project, but one of the smallest investments that seemed to have a significant impact on the room was the lighting.

  • Bath Vanity with Frameless Mirror & Lighting
This vanity was in need of an update from a style and a color theme. And the light fixture – well we think you’ll like we chose.
  • Jetted Tub with Glass Shower Space
We wanted to be sure we optimized the wasted space around this jetted tub.

After

To bring in more of that farmhouse look within our bath project, we also added some shiplap behind the vanity wall and added a couple wooden distressed mirrors. If you’re worried about your space looking too rustic, like our client was, incorporate modern pieces like the sconces, tub and neutral tiles. And then add some fun pops of color such as in your towels and decor to bring the whole space together.

  • Distressed Wood Bathroom Update with Brushed Nickel Wall Sconces

How gorgeous are these Brushed Nickel Wall Sconces?! Recently, we used these light fixtures in a master bathroom design and remodel where our client was looking for a neutral look with a little farmhouse feel mixed in. Rather than using a traditional overhead lighting fixture, we went with these sconces that look so cool offset with the mirrors.

Wall sconces are stylish and functional, offering different kinds of light. And they make a unique design statement.

  • Brushed Nickel Wall Sconces with Glass Shade
  • As you can see, we utilized the wasted space to make it appear to give the bathroom more square footage.

  • White Tub with Storage Basket for Towels
  • A larger perspective of the completed project. You see how those 3 lights really brought this space together?

  • Add Black Double Bath Vanity for Farmhouse Look

How will you incorporate the modern farmhouse look with lighting? We want to see what you do.
