FAQs
Q: What are linkables?

A: Male and female ports are built into many linkable fixtures, allowing power to flow freely between the fixtures. That means only the first "chain" in the link needs to be connected to a power source.
Q: Are Christmas lights waterproof?

A: Not necessarily, but it's fair to say most are water resistant. You want to buy waterproof or rain resistant lights and that will be marked with the red Underwriters Lab (UL) holographic tag. The UL tests the lights under rainy conditions to determine their viability. There are other alternatives to the traditional incandescent bulbs. LED lights use electricity, making them susceptible to water damage, but they are more resistant to leaks than traditional bulbs. Or you could try solar lights. They're cool to the touch, so they're not as susceptible to damage when cold rain or snow falls on them.
