I am interested in this console. Are the shelves adjustable? How many inches high are each shelf? Does the raffia allow you to put your cable box, etc into the console and be able to use the remote with drawers closed? Thank you.

Thank you for reaching out to us. Each compartment has one adjustable shelf for a total of four adjustable shelves. Each position moves the shelf 2.5 Inches above or below that middle position. Each compartment has an interior depth of 14.5 Inches and an overall interior height of 25.625 Inches. The raffia is veneered to a solid door panel, and the piece is designed to use with RF (radio frequency) remotes with the doors closed. To use an infrared remote, the doors would need to be open or the IR remote component would need to be on top of the case. Most new components are either standard with RF remotes or offer them for use with their components.
