Great light! Could be better.
The color temp is perfect and must be high cri because it looks very natural. The pictures online and the box it came in show the stand to be black. I received a chrome stand. It needs one more lower setting on the dimmer. Even better would be a potentiometer for adjustment. The foot switch is a nice idea, but the cord it so short between the lamp and switch that it's not very useful. If anything, it makes it harder to use. Still, it's a great lamp and I may buy another. One other suggestion would be some sort of locking system that would allow you to use it in a vertical position without it swinging around if it gets bumped.

The pictures showed an all-black lamp, but like another reviewer, I received a part-black, part-chrome lamp, which I like less. Customer Service, as always, got right back to me and apologized that they hadn't changed the photo and would do so right away. There is no black/black lamp available. The chrome is growing on me, and I personally like the white light. I have three Brightech lamps and will probably keep coming back for more, because they have very cool designs and they're affordable.

Needs Improvement
The look is really cool. Problems are in the cheap connectors. Where the leds connect to the pole is rather loose and spins easily causing the light to go on and off. Also, the same things happens in the connector where the foot switch connects to the power adapter. This is really bad on mine and if I barely touch the wires connector in that area the light shuts off. ALL the time! I have emailed customer service today about the issue. Lets see how they handle it. I'd like to add a star.

I have been looking for
I have been looking for the right lighting solution for years for my living room where I do needlework. This arc works so well. No shadows and the light is so great and has three different settings. The light seems to be too bright though, even on a low setting it is too hard for my husband to sit nearby. I moved it to my sewing room and it is perfect there. The design is so great and my daughter also likes it for knitting but it is bright for her husband as well.

Lighting for PC work area
Trying to position various types of lighting to illuminate my keyboard and work area became a frustrating effort. Initially I thought the Sparq Arc lamp was whimsical. As I looked at the photo gallery of how it was being used I realized that this lamp may very well be the answer. In fact it was perfect. A friend saw mine and got one to do the same for her piano. The lamp adds a touch/look of modernization - really kewl (cool).

Now I Can See
Eyesight not as good as when I was young and a light on a table next to the chair does not make reading much of a pleasure BUT the Sparg solves that problem. It is really nice to have three levels of brightness and having the arc over the actual reading space is super great. I really enjoy reading now. Of course everyone wonders what 'that thing' does until I turn it on and then they are really impressed and love the design.

Arc forever!
I have been struggling to find a lamp that would not cast a sideway shadow as I read books in bed. This arc lamp was perfect as I have tall ceiling and I'm not about to install any over head lights in my rental. Looks dramatic and easy to install. The only issue was the way the box looked when it arrived: water stains and banged up. I wasnt even sure if it would work but I did plug it in and it works!

Perfect for me
This is an extremely functional piece. I have a couch in the corner with windows on both sides, and needed a nighttime reading/accent light that did not block the natural light from the windows in the daytime. This arc floor lamp is perfect. Basically invisible during the day and provides a nice light source at night. The dim levels and floor button are handy too. Very happy especially for the price.
