Is the 44'' High with the top open? Hard to believe that with the record player part closed that it would be 44'' tall. Can you please confirm what the height the console is?

It says that the width is 18" and depth is 34.25". Just judging by the photos it seems that those meansuremnets should be swapped (e.e.g depth 18"). Or, is it really that deep?

Yes, sorry for the confusion. The depth (back to front) measures 18 inches and the width (side to side) measures 34.25 inches.

Hello, The photos do not reveal what is inside of the second cabinet. Does the top "component" shelf span the entire cabinet? Is there a center column between the two doors? I would like to know if my 18" turn table can fit on the top shelf. Thank you.
