What is the length (from ceiling) of fixture without the crystal?  Also, is wrought iron more black in color or is is a deep brown?  Thank you!

The overall height of the fixture is 12.25" and without the crystal about 9". The finish is bronze so it's going to be more brown than black.

Can the glass ball be removed without damaging the fixture or showing that something has been removed?

The crystal drops can be removed from the small ring however the ring remains at the bottom of the fixture.
