The Shower Rod is not a tension rod. The ends are mounted to the walls with screws.

Does the 8” extension extend the rod from 72” to 80”?   Or does it max out at 72” even with the 8” extension?

The Rod length measures 42" – 72" -inch. This rod can bend up to 8” inch when mounted.
