The top is made of a veneer quartz, and yes you can cut on it if you would like. It is also food safe.

The description calls the top quartz marble veneer and also marble veneer. Which is it, quartz or marble? If it's marble I do not want it but if is really quartz that looks like marble I will buy. Marble stains, quartz does not.

Can this come as polished nickel? I cant determine if the steel is nickel plated as the spec states.Is the top verigated like carrera marble?
