Rated 5 out of 5 by from very happy customer Very sturdy. Would look good in a modern decor but also fits nicely into 1833 home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quality kitchen island. Took 2 people to put together but it is easily done. I was surprised by how substantial it is. It has plenty of top space and space for storage.

Can this island be child proofed

It's sturdy enough but it would also be easy enough to wrap strips around it and attach it to the wall for extra security.

Does this have a food safe finish on the butcher block top

No, the instructions recommend that you do not use the Island top for food prep or cutting.
