Quiet fan!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is well built. Assembly was easy and well documented. It operates quietly. The features are adequate in regard to the speed options, the light dimming etc. The only issue we found is the remote is not dimming as described in the instructions. Overall a positive experience.

Quiet and powerful
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently built a pergola for my back deck. We were looking for an outdoor fan and this fit with the color and look of the material. The installation was not difficult. I am not electrically inclined but I got it up in about an hour or so. The unit is quiet and generates a good breeze even on low power. I've got a cover on top of the pergola so I'm hoping it will stand up well to the elements in Texas (mostly the heat). The remote is easy to use and I do keep that out of the elements.
I've bought Hunter products before and I've always been happy with the quality and the reliability. My expectations are the same for this fan.

Perfect Look
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this ceiling fan to re-decorate my guest room in a nautical theme, since my son is in the Coast Guard. The blades are reversible and I love that one side gives a textured look as opposed to the standard wood look. Just installed it and it seems to be a great fan. They only reason I am giving 4 stars is that the picture makes it look like the blue stripes are dark, however they are a lighter blue than pictured. Which still works out fine for my decor., but felt it should be noted .

The Best of Everything
Purchased the first one for a combination living, dining, kitchen area with high ceilings. Very quiet, great air movement and the remote has everything we wanted on it including light dimming and the ability to reverse direction. Also of note is the ability to use the remote or wall switches without any performance issues and installation was simple with detailed instructions and well labeled pieces. Liked it so much we purchased a second one to replace a different model that only lasted a year and was noisy. Only regret is we didn't choose this one for the second location right away!

This is the perfect light and fan to put on my patio where there was no light. It moves air well enough for us to tolerate the heat as the patio faces the west and afternoon sun is relentless.

I love this fan!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this fan in about a wk or two ago for me to try and give an honest review. I have to say I love this fan! It’s prefect for my bedroom which is where we put it up. You feel the air from it really well, it feels like it keeps our room cooler than the old one we had. It was pretty straight forward with putting it up. We did run into the problem of the little box inside the ceiling was a old metal one so the fans mounting stuff was to wide and we couldn’t find a stud for some of reason so we had to mount it a little differently, but it is completely secure and safe. As you can as in the picture we have the fan up and he’s working amazingly. I would definitely buy more of these in my house. The controler to operate the fan is simple to use. I’m very happy and please with this fan. It will be a great Astro our room in the summer time since even with central ac our room is always warmer than the other rooms so this ceiling fan will help keep the air moving and cool.

Hugs the ceiling!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this fan for our new sunroom addition. We needed a low profile fan because our ceilings are not very high. We have other Hunter Fans installed in our home so the choice for us was obvious. We were not disappointed in the quality! It's very low profile and stylish and it is great addition to our room. We've had many compliments and I'm looking forward to the warmer weather again so we can enjoy it for many years to come.

Looks good but otherwise a Fail
Installed in a dual-switch configuration (one switch for light, one switch for fan). Doesn't work - the "fan" switch controls both the light and the fan and the other switch doesn't do anything. Did I mis-wire it? I don't think so but I'm more than willing to admit it's a possibility. The real problem is that I can't get to the wiring to check due to the "QuickConnect" locking pin used in the light/control module. Once you install the light kit and that locking pin engages, you have no access to that pin to be able to remove the light kit. And you can't remove the fan blades or the fan housing without removing the light kit. It's an incredibly shortsighted design that apparently assumes you will never want to take the fan down. At this point, I'm going to assume it's a defect in the control module so if I can figure out how to take the fan down, it's going back and I won't be buying another Hunter fan.

The height measures from the ceiling to the bottom of the light is 15.61-inch. 9.95-inch measures from the ceiling to the top of the light.
