Best wire connection for homekit lovers.
I found that the best wiring method (in my opinion) for this smart fan "homekit enabled" is to have the black fan wire connected to a non-switched power source and then have the blue wire connected to a switched power source. this will allow the fan to always have power so the "smart features" will always be available. and the wall switch(s) will turn the light on and off. the bad part is that the wire needed is 14-3 (white black copper red) or 2 14-2 (white black copper) wires from the switch to the fan. more then likely the wire going from the switch to the fan is 14-2 and this wire will not be enough for this connection method.

Excellent Fan
We bought this fan to replace an old fan that made horrible noise. You could hear it through the floors upstairs. This fan is quiet and pulls a lot of air. As other reviews have noted for other hunter fan the receiver had a loud beep when you turn on or off or change any setting. This was easily turned off via the app once you register for an account and full access to all its functions. So glad I could turn the beeping off! Thank you hunter for having this option.

SIMPLE CONNECT FUNCTION FAIL
Hunter Fans have always been my choice based on simple installation when replacing fans and many styles. Unfortunately they failed when it comes to the smart fans advertising works with Alexa. While technically they do, the only way to make it work is having an outdate device to run the app on and turning off the WiFi network security. Don't bother trying to get technical support for Simple Connect because you'll never get a reply. Other than this the fan is stylish and less annoying if you get it connected long enough to turn off the beep that happens every time light and fan is turned on and off

Bedroom Fan Review
Installation was pretty straight forth, took us about 45min to install (DYI) and get it connected to my network and smart app. Network connection/smart app/Homekit integration went smooth using my UniFi/Mesh network. Fan light for us is dim and not really useful for day time use. Our biggest complain is the AC motor FAN NOISE HUM - I am a light sleeper and when on low or medium setting I hear the electrical motor hum and it's annoying for sleeping. Wished they had this same fan in a DC motor version. We like the look & functionality of the fan but not for our bedroom, we will be moving this to another room and look for a DC MOTOR fan option that is truly whisper quiet.

Very quiet fan. Energy efficient with good lighting. Electricians installed quickly. We bought a few and control them with one switch in some rooms and with two switches (one for fan+light and one for light) in other rooms. Only reason to not give 5 stars is the switch and remote control have an annoying beep that is not easily turned off.

Great looking, strong and smart ceiling fan
Looks great. Moves a lot of air. Integrated with my phone and Alexa perfectly so that I can control the light and dim level using home automation. "Alexa Family Room 30 percent". Viola, light goes on and is dimmed to 30%. Pretty cool.

Sound and Automation
A bit louder than I was hoping for. The motor sound also cycles about once per second. A constant hum would be preferable to a cyclic sound. Light buzzes when dimmed, just turned off the dimming feature to avoid that.
HomeKit integration is great. Only hiccup is when trying to create an automation to turn off the fan, while the fan is running. The fan is removed from the automation, instead of staying as a command to turn off… not sure if that’s Apple or Hunter related.
