Hi, I understand there is an oak stain applied? What does unfinished mean? Should it be stained? What will happen to the table over time if I don’t stain it? Thank you

Unfinished means that there is no paint or stain on the wood.  It is plain wood. We suggest you put a clear lacquer on the item to protect the wood.
