It was relatively easy to install, (although I did have my cousin assist me). The directions are written well and easy to follow. Overall just a great fan and I look forward to enjoying it for many years to come.

Sturdy construction, matte white finish with 5 blades. It's steel so no flimsy plastic. It has the extender rod but no remote, only a pull string for changing speeds and on and off. No lights on this one and the optional light kits are pricey.
