Rated 3 out of 5 by BillMcAA from Outdated Technology Purchased the fan and the handheld remote noted as compatible with this fan. Not until we started the install did we discover in the installation manual that the handheld remote cannot be used with the wall control. Therefore, you choose between the convenience of a handheld remote or the wall control. OK, but the wall control is the only way to dim the light or reverse the fan. This is never mentioned or described in the site literature for the fan or the handheld remote. Very frustrating/annoying. This is not new or advanced technology to have a controller that could respond to both the wall control and to the handheld control - or just include all the same functions on either controller.

Rated 5 out of 5 by ErinB from Great update to my old traditional looking fan [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great update to my old traditional looking fan, we remodeled our home before moving in about 13 years ago but decided to leave the ceiling fans since they still worked fine. They still do but I was looking for a more modern updated looking one for our room and this one is perfect, even exceeded my expectation! I like the different light so you don't see the bulbs and the light coming off is much more pleasant, not as in your face. The wall panel is so nice to have, beats reaching up into the fan and turning things off, I hit my hand a time or two and it doesn't feel that good!

Everything but the blades utilized a rubber mounting gasket to minimize vibration. It comes with easy to follow directions & a built in bright LED light. It has an awesome wall mounted control that had minimum wiring but excellent versatility. Very easy to install and minimal tools were required. It moves a lot of air and has a fantastic style. This is the quietest fan in my house & I am looking forward to replacing all my current fans with Kichler. Well worth the money!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Niblick from Works Well; BUT! The fan works well, but why a wall mount control vs a remote control? Big bummer. Next I have installed 4 or 5 fans in the past. No doubt the SOLA is engineered well, but not engineered for easy installation. Shoving the wire assembly into place while mounting the motor assembling. Get real. After hanging the blades I wanted to test the system before installing the lights. Could not get the blades to turn. After getting a return merchandise authorization I rechecked the connections and all the wires proved to be hot. So I thought what the heck. Connected installed the lights and everything worked. I want to test early and not wait until final assembly. At least put a note in the installation manual. Anyway, its done, and now I have a great fan.

This fan is really stylish for the industrial look we were going for, from the solid black metal construction and wire cage, to the frosted light fixturr. The 34" size was perfect for a kitchen, and I love the three blades which push air better then four or five blades. It is also whisper quiet, quieter then the stove exhaust. Assemply was less then 10 minutes, and install took under 30 minutes, the instructions were easy, and the housing was light enough to hold in place with one hand. We hope to get many years from this quality product, and are looking forward to other models to install throughout the house

My husband installed this himself, with no issues. This is only our second ceiling fan we've installed, as we're just average DIYers. A professional could've installed this much quicker! I love the sleek, clean, modern look of it. The matte, white looks nice on our white ceiling. It circulates air wonderfully and is quiet. Options are glorious, so I really enjoy that you can choose to install the LED light, or if you don't need a light source, you could just attach the non light fixture, if you strictly just wanted it for air flow. Overall, this fan checks all the boxes for us!

Critical to us was bright LED light since the bedroom is always darker. The fan was easy to install for DIY'ers like ourselves. The blades are well made and when on the low speed, you still get a nice breeze. The blades are smaller in length than the fan we replaced but the air flow is actually greater. I was a bit worried about this feature after opening the box. The ability to use the wall control or remote is a big plus. Kichler lights and fans are in most rooms in our home. The quality, style and finishes are top notch. Totally recommend this fan. please watch the video to see the speed on low.

I love it so much and now my fiance has it in his master bedroom. Very reliable and quiet. Love the remote to control fan speed and the light!
