The descriptions States first that the diffuser is glass then it says it is acrylic. What material is the bottom diffuser made of? Why is the top shade off-white in the bottom White? Is it a big difference in color?
The fabric is the same for both the top and bottom drum- off white. It may appear different in the photos, also the bulbs will cast a shadow making the certain area appear darker and where the bulb is looks lighter. The bottom is an acrylic diffuser.

Yes, this fixture can be dimmable and you may use LEDs. We do not include dimmers with our fixtures.

For this 18 in semi flush--is the rod adjustable to that it can hang a bit further than ceiling? Please advise.
Don’t believe so but I must admit that I adore the fixture. It fits perfectly + clears all doors + gets appreciative comments from everyone. Light + airy + elegant.
