Do the walls need to be painted for the adhesive to stick? Or can they be bare?
Thank you for reaching out to us. Although the ideal surface on which to hang wallpaper is a clean, primed and sized wall from which all previous wallpaper has been removed, we realize that is not always possible. While not ideal providing the wall is clean and smooth you can hang the wallpaper but be prepared to accept less than ideal results.

Is this a flat walpaper is is it raised to resemble brick?
It is flat, but the pattern makes it look raised, like real brick. I love the way it looks!

Can this be used over a kitchen sink
There are special concerns if you are going to hang wallpaper in your kitchen. Textured and/or porous wallpaper in the kitchen will collect grime and absorb cooking odors. Hanging wallpaper behind cooking areas increases the possibility of stains from cooking spatters and other damage.
