Outstanding Fan!
We had a somewhat tight loft space and the Minka 44" flushmount was perfect. Cory, our Lighting Direct CSR was extremely helpful. We had questions about how the remote would work with a three way switch and he answered them all. The light and fan remember the remote settings and default to them when the wall switches are turned on and off. The fan is very high quality, very quiet, moves a lot of air and the dimming light goes from soft ambient to bright for reading. The manufacturer suggests having a fan mountable electrical box that will support the fan weight. We were able to find ceiling studs and sturdily mount the fan in the existing light box.

Absolutely Perfect
Have low ceiling in bedroom. Wanted ceiling fan with light, but they were all too tall. I had to walk carefully through my dark room to find a lamp to turn on, versus flicking the light switch right inside the bedroom door. This fan was very easy for me to put up. Wired myself into existing wires from old ceiling fan that didn't have a light. LOVE that it's 3 easy blades to clean. Modern-looking...sleek...the white color blends into my white ceiling giving my 14x14 a well-organized look. (No more 'welcome to my ceiling fan' when I walk in. Love the remote control...NO PULL CHAINS dangling! Fan does an excellent job....looks sharp. Will get another one for the kitchen.

Disapointed with fan,but great customer service
When we received this ceiling fan and opened it up we were disappointed with the appearance of the fan blades,they appear to have a really cheap finish that really takes away from the nicely finished main unit.This fan is also extremely heavy and should only be mounted on a strong reinforced light box,and should you choose to mount it I suggest you make it a two man job.We decided to return this fan and found the customer service department very helpful in instructing us how to ship the unit back and receive our refund,their prepaid shipping labels also allow you to return the product for a very fair shipping rate.

Very Satisfied
Fan is in a 12' X 12' sunroom. It looks big in there. Circulates a lot of air. Is silent. Remote works nicely. Light is dimmable with remote. And the light seems plenty bright to me. When I was making purchase decision, many reviews complained about the brightness of the light. It's a 100 watt halogen, which is pretty bright, particularly in a house where every other bulb is a CFL of no more than 23 watts. With 8' ceiling there is still plenty of headroom. I would recommend this fan to anybody. I was also impressed by both the low power consumption of the fan motor and the efficiency of the air flow. Check it out.

love this fan
I bought this a year ago, and I still love it. We had an electrician install the fan, so I cannot speak to the installation. We bought the wall switch and would definitely call it a must. We have it installed in our bedroom. The wall switch is on his side and the remote contol is on mine, both can be reached without getting out of bed. The fan is quiet at the highest speed. It can be set to rotate in either direction and definitely moves the air, without being wobbly. The light is "dim-able" which is a feature we use alot. I have not changed a light bulb since installation. Overall, I love this light and fan.

Good fan - lousy light!
I bought this fan and had it professionally installed. The room is quite small (9'x9') so the size of the fan is just what I need. I'm happy with the fan function. It's the light which really disappoints. The reason: the glass is too opaque. The light fixture on the fan comes with a 100watt halogen bulb and a dimmer on the remote. This is a very bright light and should normally be more than adequate. But the glass is so opaque that when the light is on full power, you would think it's dimmed. On full power the small room is so dark you can't read a book! If I can't find a replacement glass for the fan, I will now need to go and buy another light fixture for the room!! Very disappointing!

Clean, Quiet, and Functional.
Clean look. Quiet operation. Simple installation (compared to many other fans). Full function remote control including being able to reverse the rotation. Not many fans have that feature. Improved light output with LED over older models. Previous models used a halogen that wasn’t that bright nor was the light evenly distributed across the shade. I used to only recommend these if the light kit wasn’t going to be used or wasn’t the only light source. The LED module changed that. I have installed more than a few fans over my 20+ years as an electrician. This is the one I recommend.

Really nice fan!!
I would give it a full 5 stars- if the lighting was just a;little better. I read other reviews that said the same thing- but because it was so hard to find a nice loking flush mount fan that didnt look like your "typical" fan- I went with it anyway. I get so many compliments on it. I used it for a nursery- it gets stuffy in the summer months- and it sorta reminds me of airplane propeller- which is why it looks great in my boys room. The fan is ULTRA quiet- a big plus for me- and looks great. the lighting could be brighter. Overall- top quality fan- and would buy the brand again.
