Rated 4 out of 5 by Chuckles2000 from Nice fan...problematic installation The fan looks nice and seems well made. It's quiet and moves air well. The light is surprisingly bright...I'm glad we have it on a dimmer. The problem with the installation was that the wires were inserted into the Molex connector wrong. A power wire was inserted into position 8 on one connector, but in position 9 on the mating half. That makes the fan not work very much (i.e., not at all). So, after figuring that out, I had to do a manual connection (wire nut + electrical tape) outside the Molex connector. Not a terrible problem, but not one I think anyone without some electrical or engineering experience would've figured out how to solve on his own.

Rated 3 out of 5 by GT3T from Don't like the motor noise I wanted a quiet fan with a simple design for our bedroom. I love the way this looks, and I was pleased to see the comments that said it was very quiet. My husband installed it and the blade motion is in fact very quiet. The motor isn't, though. I hear a constant hum that keeps me from falling asleep. Now I admit I'm sensitive to noise, but my husband hears it too (though it doesn't bother him like it bothers me). You wouldn't notice it in a family room with activity, but every night we've had it on, I ultimately had to put in earplugs so I could relax enough to fall asleep. We have a similar-size Hunter fan in another room that has no hum, just the whisper of blades going through the air. Though we don't want to fool with it, I think I'm going to replace this fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by mike from Excellent Fan! I bought three of these fans in white for my home five years ago. Still look and work great. At 44" the fan is just right for smaller rooms. And when placed on a white ceiling with with an inexpensive low-ceiling adapter, it becomes part of the ceiling. I also put in wall control switches which operate the remote controls. Dim the lights. Four speed options, and those dangling chains can be tucked inside the fan so you don't see them. All this fools the eye and makes the fans very unobtrusive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Homeowner123 from Light Isn't Bright Enough This fan has a nice look; however, the light isn't really bright enough for my room. I placed it in a room with a vaulted ceiling and the bulb appears to be on one side while on. So the light shines brighter on one side versus the other depending on which side of the room you're on. (FYI: This is from viewing the room when the sun is down). I wish it had a brighter light. Other than that, it has a very chic look. Not fancy or elegant, but okay. I think it's a bit overpriced though. Should be cheaper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by OKKitty from Attractive fan & light dome This is my 3rd MinkaAire Supra 44 Oil rubbed bronze ceiling fan. In my Living room with 9 ft ceilings, I also bought a Supra 52 fan that dims with its own remote. The Supra 44 fans won't dim unless you have a wall dimmer. Only 1 fan makes a slight humming sound on low speed but isn't bothersome. The light dome is very attractive & sealed off from dust/bug collection. The light bulb itself is small & puts out a crisp bright light. The fans are nicely balanced and don't shake or rattle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KaylaMD from Quiet, yet powerful, looks expensive Purchased fan in white with low ceiling adapter much earlier this year, just had handyman install it a couple of days ago, it's FAN-tastic. it is quiet, just the amount of air circulation you need for a small to medium size bedroom. Going to replace master bedroom fan with one of these, b/c this is so much nicer. Handyman was impressed with quality. Light is bright enough, 1-100 watt halogn is equal to 4 - 60 watts in master, like encapsulated light b/c less of a dust collector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by housepoor from Great Fan for the $$! This is a great fan, and NOT what you'd find in a typical home improvement store. It is sleek, SILENT, and non-wobbly. It looks heavy-duty and it is well made. The angle of the blade is important, as is blade length, so make certain you pay attention to your room's needs before you purchase! You will not be unhappy with this fan, it's great! I get many compliments on this fan, I'm glad I purchased it. Plus, LightingDirect folks bent over backwards to help me, answering all my Qs!

Rated 5 out of 5 by lorry from Great fans I have bought two Supra 44 fans one in brushed nickel and the other in bronze. They are perfect for small rooms about 120 sq.ft where I use them. They are of excellent quality for the price, look sleek and modern, and move alot of air quietly. Be aware that the height of the fan is 16.5" from the ceiling to the tip of the light, not 11.5". This height is perfect for my 8 ft. ceilings. Would highly recommend these fans to anyone.
