Manufacturer's defect
After using the fan very infrequently, it ceased to work. While the manufacturer did provide a replacement part, the part could not resolve the problem. The major issue was unresolved due to the way the wiring that comes through the fan housing will chafe over time and effectively make the fan useless. Tech Support had tried to describe the problem as improper installation by our electrician, but further examination revealed the issue was the way the wires run through the housing. Over time the wires will fray. It is unfortunate since this is such an expensive fan to have it fail after such a short time (less than two years).

PERFECTION!
I was looking for white fans for 3 upstairs bedrooms with 8' ceilings. It was critical to have a sleek, contemporary design with the fan as close to the ceiling as possible. I also wanted wall controls (no need to have yet another remote to keep track of). This fan delivers on every measure! I did hire a professional to install, but he said it was very easy. The fans look awesome and don't detract from the overall space of the room. You can hear the motor, albeit very, very low. Wall controls work wonderfully. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make the light button on the control panel just a bit larger - as we use it as the main on/off light in the room. These fans were a bit pricey as compared to other options, but worth every penny. Highly recommended.

So far, So good!
We installed ours 5 years ago, on the balcony of a beachfront condo in South Florida, and it still works as well as new. For the first couple years we’d get some rust on the white painted finish that could be wiped off fairly easily. This year not so much: Some of the rust appears to be permanent but not bad. I’m hoping to get a couple more years out of it given the location. The salt spray is a killer…

This fan has an opaque white glass shade that impedes the light from the 100w halogen bulb. Overhead light quality is not good. There is no alternative shade that is less opaque. Also, the wall controls only control the lighting in one direction, down. So if you want more light, first you need to go down to no light and then go back up to a higher light.
I would not buy this fan again.

I bought this for our craftsman porch. I would not recommend it for indoor use, it is not delicate enough in design. The Blades are not wood but for out doors I am relieved that the rain and humidity will not destroy the finish. It looks great on our porch, we have two for our wrap around porch. It spins quietly. The opaque light cover is perfect for a porch light.

I love It!!!
I search for months for the perfect fan in white. We live right on the lake and have 3 decks with high winds. These fans have turned out to be absolutely perfect. They were easily installed and they look is clean and sleek. The lights can be dimmed and fans have 3 speeds. the blades pop off for easy cleaning and storage. could not have asked for anything better.!!!

Love it!
This is a great fan!! Everyone who comes to our family area comments on how much air it circulates! Plus it looks very stylish and was easy to mount to the ceiling. We have the remote on the wall and we love it!
Maybe a little more costly than the average fan, but well worth it.

I've had this fan installed and operation al for four weeks. It arrived quickly was well packed and installed easily. Fan is very quiet and hugs the ceiling. No wobbling and I am very satisfied with the order and delivery process as well as the overall product.

The Minka Aire LED Ceiling Fan comes supplied with WCS212 Wall Mount Control system (Bellacor Number: 489925) measuring 8.7" H x 4.35" W x 2" D- inch. The diameter of the base is approximately 6” inch.
