Kitchen Ceiling Light/Fan/with Remote Control
The RC223 with the MinkaAire SpaceSaver Ceiling/Fan is just what we needed. Our ceiling fixture wiring did not have a wall switch as it was hardwired for a pull chain fixture. The remote allowed us to have a fan/light with hiring an electrician, cutting & patching sheetrock. Also, customer service was great in that the first unit was broken in shipment and a replacement was immediately shipped.

Looks and acts antiquated
This controller works reliably, but it is antiquated. The delay between flipping on the wall switch and when the light comes on is at least one second. The remote is bulky. The whole thing needs a redesign. I would not recommend unless you must have a light and have only one single hot wire to the ceiling.

excellent remote control
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Second one we have purchased in conjunction with the related wall mount control to control a Minka-Aire fan and light combination. Installation is simple although the receiver can be a little tight in the fan box at the ceiling

Great remote
The universal remote is great! I got it for my Minka-Aire Supra 44 fan. It allows me to control both the fan and the light separately, and the 2nd button also dims the lights on the fan. I purchased the wall unit as well, but just needed 1 receiver for both devices.

Having to replace the Receiver in a fan that is barely used
Why am I having to replace a receiver on a fan that has been used very little? MinkaAire fans are not cheap and it is even more expensive to hire an electrician to replace a receiver on a fan that is less than 2 years old-in a guest room- that is rarely used.

We did not want another remote laying around our family room. Prior to receipt it was not clear how we would mount it to replace the switch of the fan we were replacing. However, I used Gorilla double sided tape and it has worked very well.

Remotes are horrble
For whatever reasons our fans stop rotating on their own, or they rotate in the opposite direction and the jelly part of the remote where you get to choose what speed is very difficult to deal with

Ordered with the Rudolf fan as we could not use the wall switch. not sure if the fan is noisy due to the remote module or not and it also only controls 3 of the 4 speeds the fan is capable of.

I need to replace two MinkeAire receivers # 7067FM5-05I (6+5). It has three speeds - and reverse - and a light dimmer. Will the one shown here work in my fan? They were originally installed in 2008 and both receivers died last summer.
This Remote Control can be utilised by fans with an existing wall control WC223 radio-frequency system. You must find the exact Rhine number on the remote control you've used to choose the correct Receiver. If you cannot locate the Rhine number, then it is recommended to purchase a new 256 Bit Transmitter and Receiver that matches your fan model. Please check with the retailer where the fans were purchased to confirm the Wall control radio-frequency.
