Great wall control unit
This wall switch is great! I can control the fan and the light separately, without having to use the pull switches on the unit. Both the small buttons on the top turn the light on and off, and the 2nd button also is the dimming switch. The fan control buttons work as normal. The only feature not on the wall control plate or the remote is the ability to switch the direction of the blades, which is done manually on the fan itself. I have the Minka-Aire Supra 44 fan which is part of the universal line.

Best purchase ever
I love the wall control for my MinkaAire fan. It works the same way as the remote control. I love the fact that if my battery runs out that I still have the wall control to control the fan.

The fan comes with a remote; however, I think the wall mount is a cleaner look. I have to many other remotes to keep track of! The wall mount is very nice and easy to install.

not compatible with all fans
I'm sure this is a great product if it works with your fans. My electrician said it wouldn't work my fans....double check before you buy.

Ceiling fan remote problem
The remote doesn’t allow changing of direction of the ceiling fan. The fan is 15’ off the ground. Poor design.

I have it. How does it work?
This wall control ensuring that a quick way to control the fan and light is available when the remote is misplaced or has a low battery. I am having 2 fans installed in the same room. If I ordered a remoter to work with the fans do I need to order one for each or can one be used for both fans?
If you installed the two identical fans in the same room, then you can use the same remote for both fans.
