It makes such a statement! It emits such a warmish glow, just using the 60W mentioned in detail info Would clearly recommend, with any decorating style you may have.

Is the height adjustable?

Yes, ours came with segments that you screw together to form the rod height you want. It's not infinitely adjustable.
