The International Dark-Sky Association (IDA) is a non-profit organization that educates and promotes the reduction of the effects of outdoor lights on the night sky by reducing the night time glare caused by outdoor lighting fixtures. The Great Outdoors® is pleased to present exciting Dark-Sky Friendly families of outdoor lighting, compliant with the standards established by the IDA, including our popular Dark-Sky Friendly sconces. All meet UL or ETL standards for wet locations. While our Dark-Sky fixtures meet IDA specifications, you will need to consult local regulations for specific standards established in your area when choosing your fixtures.

I wanted something that was Dark Sky compliant, yet bright enough. These were perfect! We bought 60w bulbs and hoped they would light up enough. We are so pleased with the result day and night!
