The post and base is as pictured and has great lines. I was disappointed in the "frail" look of the post. It looks thin and I would not suggest putting more than a 22 inch lantern on top.

Great Product
The post was easy to put together and seems well constructed. I made a template to mount the tie down bolts to for proper position and depth to sink them into the poored cement. For the price for this post it was acceptable. But a simple template included would be prefered for a few more dollars.

Q & A
Can an electric eye be added to this post to turn on/off at night? Also, the picture looks gray. Does this have a dark or lighter black finish?
We have not tested our post for the application you are requiring about. Can it be done Yes. It will be up to you to find the correct electric eye to fit the post. The post is black, the finish does look grayish due to the lighting of the camera.
