Are the 2 beds permanently connected or can one bed be on one side of room and the other on other side of room?

Yes, these beds can be used separately and together. There are hooks in place if the you would like to use it as an L shape with the corner cube.

The dimensions don’t seem correct/ possible.  Is it 118x118 not 118x 40?
