Rated 5 out of 5 by from FOR REAL Leaded Glass We just had our ranch home resided...sort of "Cape Cod Gingerbread"...Cape Cod Grey Dutch Lap siding on the back and sides...Charcoal Smoke, hand-hewn, vinyl shake shingles in the gables and on the front...so we wanted something SPECIAL for the lamp post and porch lights. The Abbington line was IT!!! The silver/pewter metal work was PERFECT...and what we anticipated would be "faux leaded glass"...that was REAL leaded glass...and with a faux alabaster dome that also "glows" whenever the light is on...WOW!!!, it really doesn't get any better than this!!! The price...SO RIGHT...less than lights available locally at higher prices that don't even come close to having the "eye" and "curb" appeal that this does!!! Highly recommend this item!!!

Can this be mounted on a front porch newal and not a tall lighting post with base

Yes, the Special Lite Products Company Abington Estate Outdoor Post Mount Light can be installed on the Newel Post. Please check with your certified electrician for the wiring options to the Newel Post.
