So, to be clear, the base of the lamp is 22 inches, but with the shade it is 32 inches?  I, too, need a lamp that is 22 inches but am not sure I understand what the "extended version" means. How exactly is this 22, as well as 32 inches? Thank you!

The shade measures 8" x 13" x 7" -inch and the minimum and maximum height of this Table Lamp is 22" and 32" -inch.

This lamp extends to 32" which is too high for my needs. Can you look at the lamp and tell me if the photo shows the extended version of 32" or the lower version of 22"? Thank you.
