Do these mount to masonary? Do we need a special kit?

We have updated our product page with installation instructions for this fixture.Please note that the only difference for installing to masonry is that masonry specific hardware and anchors may be used as an alternative.

What size pier is this designed for?  I have a square 6 x 6 nominal wooden post which for lighting is a pier.

No, Pier mounts cannot be used with posts. The manufacture recommends this fixture to be mounted directly onto decks or decorative columns by utilizing the pier base.
