Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful addition above kitchen peninsula We love the pendant lights but found that the cable never straightens out completely, probably because the fixture does not provide enough hanging weight. We modified the cable by running it through a 3/8" seamless steel tube, cut to the length we needed, and painting it to match a nearby chandelier.

what is the canopy? It is dark zinc metal that mounts to the ceiling? Is it round?

Yes, a canopy is an overhead roof or else a structure over which is Dark Weathered Zinc finishes covering is attached, able to provide shade or shelter from weather conditions such as sun, hail, snow and rain. Yes, it is round in shape.
