Chandeliers are more than ceiling light fixtures - they're statements that define a room. While we often think of chandeliers for dining rooms or foyers, they add a stylish touch to kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms. From modern chandeliers in brushed nickel or polished chrome, to whimsical chandeliers for nurseries and children's rooms, you'll find a chandelier for every style and every room at Bellacor.
How Do I Choose a Chandelier?
Before you select a chandelier there are a few things you should take into consideration:
Purpose – amount of light output required
Scale – size needed based on your rooms dimensions
Height- how high to hang based on size of room and chandelier placement
Finish – type of finish that will compliment your space
Style – do you have a particular style in mind?
Care – how easy is installation? what about long term care and cleaning?
To determine what size chandelier you need for your room, all you need is the room’s length and width. If a room is 12x12 feet just add those two numbers together - so, in
this case, 24 feet. Use that number as your guide, but instead of feet, use inches. So for a 12x12 room, look for a 24 inch chandelier.

Chandeliers For Every Style
Many homeowners think of chandeliers as being "too fancy" or over-the-top, but today's designers make chandeliers in every size, for every style of home. From ornate crystal
chandeliers to sleek, modern chandeliers, these ceiling fixtures meet today's needs in a variety of spaces. There's a chandelier to fit any room of your home with styles from classic to whimsical.
Depending on the room, consider multiple mini chandeliers. These petite light fixtures also make wonderful additions to bedrooms, closets and bathrooms.
Hanging Your Chandelier
Now that you've chosen a chandelier, it's time to hang it. But how high do you hang a chandelier fixture? In general, hang a chandelier 30-36" above a table in dining or
kitchen areas. In a bathroom, hang your chandelier at least 3 feet from the tub, with enough clearance to get in (and out) of the bath tub! Use our Chandelier Ceiling Height Cheat Sheet to hang your chandelier like a pro.
