Not made for outdoors
This item is not made from wood. We had the bench outside and within 24 hours of assembling the bench had split from overnight rain. This appears to be made out of some type of resin material and can not withstand being outdoors. Customer service was great.

Q & A
I live in an area of Los Angeles where it gets into the 110s degrees in the summer for a few weeks. Will the finishing/coating/gloss/paint withstand these temperatures in the open (no patio covering)?
