Lovely Storage Bench
I bought this a month ago and am very pleased with my purchase. Bench is very attractive. Material is good quality - both inside and out. Construction is sturdy - We placed the bench at the end of our cherry bed and it looks very nice. My husband and I like to sit on the bench to put on shoes, etc. Storage is handy. Only slight complaint is the hinge does not allow bench top to open fully (it opens about 80%), but would only be a problem if you wanted to store something large and stiff. I am storing blankets and it works well. Shipping was good - bench arrived in good condition in about 6 days.

It can definitely hold the weight of 2 people sitting side by side on top. It’s very sturdy.

Weight capacity??
I cannot give an exact weight, but I filled mine with picture frames with glass and have had no problems. This is a sturdy piece of furniture in my opinion. We have had over a year and are happy with purchase.

Can you make this into a file drawer? Is it deep enough to a file hanging system?
The Inner compartment dimensions is 13L x 38W x 13.5H. Please make sure this dimension will accommodate the file system you have.

What is the best way to clean it?
Thank you for asking, however, I have not had to do so. If I did,I would try upholstery cleaner light amount. Of course, all is subject to the extent of said need of cleaning. Be cautious not to create a water stain from cleaning, due to neutral color of the fabric. Hope this information is helpful.
