Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully selected solid wood and select wooden veneers over durable wood products. Using veneers makes it possible to create more decorative looks that couldn't be achieved with solid wood. The veneers are used over durable wood products like MDF and particle board which is made of renewable resources.
MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture within areas that require more stability, as is the case with large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold, nor do they absorb as much moisture as solid wood.
