The natural Kubu weaving material is a soft gray color, which is achieved naturally by soaking the rattan in local clay and sun-drying it before weaving. A clear topcoat preserves the color and protects the chair from spills. Cushion and back pillow are included in white fabric. Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality and very uncomfortable. I bought two of these chairs. They are very uncomfortable. I am 5’ 2”, and they are not deep enough for my small frame. The seat and back “cushions” are not cushions at all. They are thin pillows covered in a cheap fabric. The cost of returning the two chairs is almost $500. I am terribly disappointed in the chairs and the outrageous cost to return them.
