How much space is there between the floor and the bottom of the bed?

Does this bed have slats and does not require a box spring, those slats need to be flat wood and spaced no more than 3" apart?
The product is a standard bed. The bed doesn't include a slat system it comes with a metal bed frame and requires a box spring.
