Note that this large piece weighs over 300 pounds so be ready with several movers to put this island in place because it is worth the effort. Much more refined and sleek than anticipated. Very happy with this purchase.

CAN CASTERS BE ADDED AT POINT OF MANU?

Hi. First of all, we love this piece of furniture.  Amazing construction and so solid.  Which brings me to my answer - unless the casters are EXTREMELY heavy duty - I don’t think I would try that as an option.  This piece is quite heavy.  We have it in our kitchen on a hardwood floor.  We put felt “sliders” on the bottom which work fine for cleaning purposes - Hope this answers your question.
